Brown Wins Big in Mass

Brown’s big win of the Senate seat held for nearly 5 decades by Edward Kennedy should not be seen as an upset. Clearly, his Dem opponent ran an anemic, lackluster campaign that failed to connect with voters.

For Dems and Republicans alike, this should be the high note – voters want to know you’re listening, and if they don’t feel it, you’re not getting their vote.

It’s a shot over the bow for Dems – let’s see if anyone is listening. I seriously doubt we’ll see Barbara Boxer resting on her laurels during her upcoming Senate race. Look for a great fight and a smart campaign. Fiorina’s people are already coming out sliming…

Palin Launches on Fox

Say what you will about Sarah Palin, she has great instincts for moving herself to the head of the pack.

Does this mean she’ll run for President in 2012? Maybe.

Is she irritating the other front runners? Definitely!

Will she win? Stay tuned.

Her pact with Fox involves occasional pieces. This is a smart strategy. Why? Because as much as a weekly show builds an audience, it can also bore an audience. There’s more of a chance that Palin will be listened to with the kind of format that’s been selected.

I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next…she’s remaking the political environment and whether she runs or not, she will definitely be an influencer and hold votes that others will want.

Weird pairing. I’m wondering if he’s taking her on as a project. After leaving her post as Alaska’s Governor in mid-responsibility (come on, Sarah – we all like duck, lame or otherwise) she’s off to parts unknown. Will the Fox network hire her? Will she become a huge draw for the right and make Coulter jealous? Stay tuned.
